Math Tutor Extraordinaire

Gillian graduated with a Master’s degree in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics and has spent the last 20 years heading up software development teams to improve processes and make peoples lives easier. Her superpower is asking questions to get to the bottom of where things need to be tweaked.
Gillian has loved math from early childhood and saw it as riddles to be solved and never a hurdle. She wants to help others find clarity in the chaos of numbers and formulas. She strongly believes that listening to understand where the struggles are and teaching the way they learn best, will set them on the right trajectory, because when that light comes on and they realize they can master math, it opens up a whole new world of possibilities

Math Tutor Extraordinaire

Megan received her bachelor’s degree from UNF and has five years of experience teaching Algebra 1 and Geometry.
She is great at targeting specific areas of struggle and tailoring her tutoring approach to each individual student. Her passion lies in teaching students how to problem-solve in all areas of life, not just math. Her end goal is always for her students to feel confident in and proud of their own learning.
When not contemplating the existential implications of the Pythagorean Theorem, Megan is reading, chilling outside, playing Stardew Valley, or hanging with friends.

Nate graduated from The Expositors Seminary in 2024. It was while studying the Biblical languages in seminary that he came to have a new found love for English grammar.
Nate considers himself a lifelong learner and is an avid reader. Because of his love for learning he finds joy in helping others learn new things and finds satisfaction in simplifying the complex.
He lives with his wife Kelly and his son Micah in Saint Augustine where he leads the Youth ministry at his church. In his free time he enjoys reading about theology, history, current events, and economics.

Math, Speed Reading, and SAT/ACT Math Tutor Extraordinaire

Darryl graduated in 1991 Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education from Stonybrook University. His composite NTE (National Teacher’s Exam) score was 95 percentile.
After Darryl relocated his family to Georgia in the early 1990’s, Darryl eschewed the security of a public school teaching job for the uplifting challenge of serving parents and their children as an Academic Tutor. To Darryl, the joy of tutoring test prep, speed reading, and math stems from sharing his God given gift of tutoring per James 1:17.
While Darryl embraces proper use of technology like AI, he knows that the personal connection between a dedicated tutor and a diligent student is timeless. In his quiet time, Darryl enjoys fishing with his wife. He also enjoys hunting and hiking.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What Grades Do You Work With?

Our team has experience helping students of all ages and grades. From learning how to read to college calculus, we’ve students at all levels improve their understanding and gain confidence wherever they are in their academic journey.

What Is Your Experience With Learning Disabilities?

We prefer to call them “learning challenges”, because we believe every student can overcome them to a point of victory!

We have worked with students who deal with dyslexia, dysgraphia, autism, auditory processing disorders, and ADHD/ADD. We also have staff with specialized training for a variety of unique situations. We have found that students with learning challenges don’t need a special education instructor who knows math and science, they need a math and science instructor that can work with ANY student. And that is why we’ve been successful with those students!

We are also a recognized vendor with Step Up for Students in Florida, so we can accept FES (formerly Gardiner), Unique Abilities, and PEP scholarships!

Can You Work With Our Busy Schedule?

We certainly can! Between our staff, we offer tutoring 7 days a week, and will do our best to accommodate your preferences for day and time. We often work in last minute appointments, and of course, our online courses are available 24 hours a day!
